Privacy
ScreenCandy is designed to work entirely on your device. KraftPixel Labs does not operate a backend for the app, and your screenshots never leave your phone unless you explicitly export or share them.
What the app accesses
- Photo library — only when you import a screenshot or save a finished image, through the system photo permission. ScreenCandy reads the images you pick and writes the images you choose to save.
- Files, clipboard, and the share sheet — only the specific image you hand to the app.
What the app stores
- Source images you import are copied into the app's private storage so projects keep working.
- Project parameters (background, layout, export settings) are saved as small JSON files, separate from the image bytes.
- Presets and settings are saved locally.
All of this lives in the app's private container. Deleting a project (Settings → Storage) removes its parameters and its copied source image. Uninstalling the app removes everything.
What the app does not do
- No analytics, tracking, ads, or third-party SDKs that phone home.
- No account, login, or cloud sync.
- No network upload of your images by the app itself. If you use the OS Share sheet to send an exported image to another app, that transfer is handled by iOS or Android and the destination app.
The one exception to "no network": purchase validation for ScreenCandy Pro is handled by RevenueCat. No image data is involved.
Data deletion
- Per project: Settings → Storage → Delete.
- Everything: Settings → Storage → Clear All, or uninstall the app.
